Pre-Submission Local Plan Update (Regulation 19) Consultation

Melton Borough Council is consulting on the Melton Pre-Submission Local Plan Update from Friday 17th January 2025 until 11.59pm on Friday 28th February 2025. See the Statement of the Representations Procedure for this Regulation 19 consultation.

How do I make comments and how will they be used?

We strongly encourage you to make comments using our online response form. You can make comments by:

  • Completing the online response form (accessed via https://www.melton.gov.uk/consultation)

  • Emailing at planningpolicy@melton.gov.uk

  • Posting a paper response to Planning Policy, Parkside, Station Approach, Melton Mowbray, LE13 1GH. Paper forms can be collected from Melton Borough Council Parkside Office reception, Melton Mowbray library or Bottesford library

Comments must be received by 11.59pm on Friday 28th February 2025.

Following the completion of the consultation, representations will be submitted to the Secretary of State as part of the submission of the Local Plan and associated documents. Representations will be considered by the appointed Planning Inspector during the Local Plan examination. Following the examination the Local Plan Update will be adopted (subject to potential modifications).

    • In person: Wednesday 5th February, at the Melton Borough Council Parkside offices, drop in any time between 11am and 7pm

    • Online: Thursday 20th February, via Microsoft Teams (Join the event), join the teams event any time between 4pm and 8pm

  • Emailing planningpolicy@melton.gov.uk with questions or to request a telephone call
