July 2019 update

The Council has decided that the progress on the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is suspended until a time when Melton Borough Council considers it is a suitable approach. More details can be found in the Cabinet Meeting papers.

Community Infrastructure Levy

Local Authorities can collect a tariff called a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) when housing developers request to build new homes in the area.
